Vinod Gupta is an entrepreneur who was born in India. He came to the United States seeking his fortune when he was a younger man and found it through his own ingenuity and creativity. Vinod Gupta is the Chairman of Everest Group LLC in Omaha, Nebraska. He was the Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Infogroup.

Gupta turned a $100 bank loan into a data tech business that he later sold for millions of dollars. Before moving to the U.S., he graduated from an Indian high school and earned his way into I.I.T. Vinod Gupta has always been the kind of man to give back to the communities he lives in and the world, at-large. He helped out the people of his home village in India by donating $1 million to a women’s polytechnic, and he also donated $2 million to build the Vinod Gupta School of Management. Vinod Gupta went even further by helping to build an Intellectual Property School at IIT and invested $2 million into this project. Last but not least, he donated money to help a school in his village to have everything it needed to succeed including school buses to help students get to and from school.

Vinod Gupta received an honorary doctorate from Monterey Institute of International Studies and was also honored by the University of Nebraska with another honorary doctorate. He has served as a trustee for the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. and was placed into that position by president Clinton.

Today, Vinod Gupta continues to make life better for many different people. Gupta mission is to help as many people as possible with their educational goals, especially Women’s Education.
